If your domain uses NG Domain DNS, we publish the email records for you. If its nameservers point somewhere else, such as Cloudflare or your web host, add the records there.
- In your dashboard, open the domain's Email tab and scroll to DNS records. Each record has copy buttons for its name and value.
- Sign in to your DNS provider and open the domain's DNS settings.
- Add each record marked Missing, with the same type, name and value. For MX records, set the priority to
10. - Where a record is marked Different value, edit the existing one instead of adding another:
- MX at
@: replace your old provider's MX records with ours. - SPF at
@: addinclude:amazonses.combefore the~allin your existing record.
- MX at
- Come back to the Email tab. The statuses update as the records appear, usually within an hour.
At Cloudflare, set every email record to DNS only (grey cloud). Cloudflare can't proxy mail.
Sending starts once the DKIM records verify. Until then, receiving works but messages you send are held back.
