Setting Up Your Professional Business Email
An address like [email protected] makes your business look established. NG Domain doesn't host email, but your domain works with any email provider. Here's how to connect one.
1. Choose an Email Provider
Popular options include Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Zoho Mail. Compare their prices, storage and apps, then sign up and add your domain when they ask for it.
2. Prove You Own the Domain
Most providers ask you to add a TXT record to your domain's DNS to confirm it's yours. Copy the record they give you into your NG Domain dashboard, then return to the provider and choose verify. New records can take a little while to be seen.
3. Point Your Mail to the Provider
Add the provider's MX records in your dashboard. Presets cover the usual providers, so in most cases it's one click. Remove any old MX records so mail doesn't go to the wrong place.
4. Protect Your Email From Spoofing
Add the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records your provider recommends. They help your messages land in inboxes instead of spam, and stop others from sending mail that pretends to come from your domain.
5. Create Your Mailboxes
Back in your provider's admin console, create the addresses you need, such as info@, sales@ or your own name. Set up forwarding or aliases there too. See Email Forwarding & Autoresponders.
